Hope for Modesto: A new shelter for women and children.
The Modesto Gospel Mission is creating a dedicated haven for women and children experiencing homelessness in our community. Help change lives for generations.
The Modesto Gospel Mission has acquired a building adjacent to our current campus with plans to convert this space into a new center dedicated to women, and women with children. Historically, the Mission has housed women at capacity. This trend has been ongoing for over six years. In the interim, we have utilized and maximized square footage by emptying living rooms each night for cots, or housing women and women with children on the floor of our Chapel. Below are a few snapshots and quick statistics on the impact this project will have for our community.

“As followers of Christ, we are called to extend a hand of compassion to the most vulnerable among us. Let's not just pray for the homeless, let's be the answer to their prayers by providing shelter, love, and support for women and children in need.” — Joyce Meyer
