Gina's Testimony

God led me to Mission through a series of events that I can only describe as miraculous.

Gina’s Testimony

“My abuse and trauma began early in life. I started using drugs and alcohol in my teens. Addiction took a toll on my life and followed me well into adulthood. I became homeless and lived on the streets with my abusive boyfriend. With no hope left, and completely broken I decided to run away once and for all. I jumped on a bus to Modesto soaking wet, barefoot, and completely alone. I fell asleep on the bus and woke up to an announcement that I was “here” not knowing where “here” was. I continued living on the streets until I was invited to dinner, which happened to be at the Modesto Gospel Mission. God led me to Mission through a series of events that I can only describe as miraculous. I joined the New Life Program and graduated in September 2015 and my life has since been transformed. I’m a Case Manager and a Chaplain. I love the Lord so much and I am so thankful for what He has done for me. I love serving others and I’m so happy I work in a place where I get to share the love of Christ each and every day.”
