Hannah’s House.

A solution to Stanislaus County’s women’s shelter bed deficit.

Hope for Modesto is a movement. It is a journey. This journey for so many women and children has been treacherous. Long night’s in cold rainy weather, or hot summers without relief from the valley heat. The fear of abuse and neglect stay on the forefront of the minds of these women and children. This journey can end here, at Hannah’s House, a new state of the art facility dedicated for women, and women with children. Hannah’s House is scheduled to open in Spring 2025.

The reality: Stanislaus County does not have enough shelter space to accommodate the number of homeless women and women with children, and it shows. Our capacity has been strained for years. Countless women and women with children have been turned away due to a lack of space. This project is critical.

The Vision Unveiled: Impactful Project Highlights

For over six years, the Modesto Gospel Mission has been a beacon of hope for women and children in need. Our Mission has consistently housed women at full capacity, reflecting our dedication to providing a haven during challenging times. Throughout this period, we have maximized our space, turning living rooms into temporary shelters each night and utilizing the floor of our Chapel to accommodate women and children.
